I am certified with AWS for work, so to drink deeply of the Koolaid, I've moved all of my internet properties (which sounds more majestic than it really is) over to AWS to have one location to manage them AND save money.
I'm using:
- LightSail to host this website as well as historyplusgaming.com.
- Simple Storage Service (S3) to host some static content and store other objects.
- Route 53 to manage 6 domain names.
- Simple Email Service and WorkMail to handle my email needs.
- Lambda to deal with the email sent to my domains that isn't associated with a specific account (you'd think this would be built into the above, but I had to roll my own).
It's working for me well so far and costs about $18/month plus another $72/year to renew the domain name registrations.
Let me know if you're doing something similar.
